Robotic laser welding presents many advantages over traditional welding processes in certain applications. Recent advancements in laser welding technology have made it even more appealing in a wide range of industrial settings. While laser welding is not a replacement for traditional welding entirely, it is better suited for some parts.
The industrial robots iGWL-AW represent the world's largest range of models in the low payload category with the greatest power density. They are ideally suited to space-saving cell concepts and provide top performance - with particularly low follow-up costs.
The powerful multi-function robots iGWL-AWare specialized in handling applications: for handling large components, machining, assembly, palletizing and arc welding. They can be controlled with the iGWL-AW extended.
A key new feature of the robots iGWL-AW is the even more compact design of the industrial robots. This enables you to benefit from the greater integration density and reduced disruptive contours. Choose the right industrial robot for every application from the wide-ranging portfolio.
Advantages of Robot Laser Welding Machine:
Maximum precision
With their repeatability of 0.04 millimeters, the KR 8 R1620 arc HW robots work extremely exactly and precisely even at high speed.
New KUKA hollow wrist
The 50-millimeter hollow-shaft wrist is a future-oriented innovation: the hollow axis allows reduced main axis motion with short cycle times and utmost precision of movement.
ESD protection
As standard, the robot is protected against uncontrolled electrostatic charging or discharging and is thus equipped for the safe handling of sensitive electronic components.
Maximum flexibility
The robots can be wall-, floor- or ceiling-mounted or even installed at a certain angle - exactly in line with your requirements.
High flexibility
The use of modern KUKA controllers facilitates the integration of external axes.
Maximum freedom
The KR 8 R1620 arc HW robots have a large workspace to the rear and a long downward reach. This enables them to open up previously inaccessible workspaces.
Streamlined compactness
The industrial robots are particularly light, highly streamlined and exceedingly compact. They deliver maximum performance with minimal disruptive contours.

Robot Laser Welding Machine Applications:
Automobile, metal doors &windows, engineering machinery, mining machinery,
locomotives, electrical appliances, furniture and other industries
Applicable Cases
iGWL-AW robot is dedicated to welding. It is a robot
developed for more adverse field environment of the customers
based on the existing SZGH-H1850-B-6 robot. Compared with the
previous model, this product has a higher floor space and stabler
construction; moreover, there is a fully enclosed axis to effectively
prevent welding spatters from damaging cables of the robot.
