Another 4-axis CNC milling machine is also called a rotary axis CNC milling machine. The second aspect. The difference in configuration?

Frame: Compared with the three-axis engraving machine, the bed of the four-axis engraving machine is thicker and stronger, because it needs to ensure that the machine is more stable under high-speed operation, and the machining accuracy of the machine must be ensured. Motor: Three-axis CNC milling machine can choose to use servo motor or stepper motor according to the customer's budget. However, for 4-axis CNC milling machines, we generally recommend selecting servo motors above 850 watts, and they must also be equipped with a reducer. The greater the power of the motor, the greater the energy provided, which can better ensure the accuracy of the machine.

Guide rail: The commonly used guide rail sizes for engraving machines are 20mm, 25mm, and 30mm. The three-axis engraving machine can be selected flexibly according to your needs. It is recommended to choose a size above 25 mm for the four-axis engraving machine. The larger the size of the guide rail, the stronger the carrying capacity. The larger guide rail not only helps to increase the speed of the machine, but also improves the processing efficiency.

Control system: Ordinary 3-axis engraving machines can generally choose DSP, NK105 and Mach3 control systems. Four-axis engraving machine should choose Syntec, Baoyuan, Siemens and other control systems with faster processing speed and higher control accuracy.

Cooling method: Three-axis engraving machine generally adopts manual spray cooling and air cooling; four-axis engraving machine adopts automatic oil mist/water mist cooling, and water mist cooling can facilitate stone processing.

The third aspect. Their applications are also different. 

The 3-axis CNC engraving machine only has three working directions of X, Y and Z axis. Because of the limitation of the working direction, it can only carry out engraving on a flat surface, and cannot realize complex hollowing and 3D engraving. If you want to realize simple plane processing and processing some simple patterns in wooden furniture, advertising and other industries, then these three-axis machine tools can meet your processing requirements. The four-axis engraving machine is an upgraded version of the 3-axis CNC engraving machine. The third is the situation where the rotating equipment is independent of the machine tool. If the width of the machine is relatively large, greater than 2 meters, and the diameter of the rotating shaft is greater than 200 mm, it is recommended to place the rotating shaft independently. This will not affect the effective working size of the machine, and will also facilitate the packaging and transportation of the machine.
