Laser cutting machines have something called a CNC system attached to it. A CNC system or Computer Numerical Control system helps feed a machine with proper information and data that helps it move or act in a predetermined manner. In laser cutting machines, you need to feed the CNC Laser Cutting Machine the kind of cut or design you want on your material.

Fiber Laser Cutting Machine Manufacturers

We are a company integrating manufacturing and sales of CNC routers, laser engraving machines, laser cutting machines, plasma cutting machines, cutting plotters, etc. The main configuration all adopt top parts imported from Italy, Japan, Germany, etc.We adopt international advanced producing technologies to improve our products. Our products are widely used in advertising, woodworking, artworks, model, electric, CAD/CAM industry models, clothing, package printing, marking, laser sealing and so on.

The cutting precision is high, the cutting speed is fast, the cutting surface is smooth and flat (no need for secondary processing), the working area is small, the incision is narrow, the thermal deformation is small, the process is flexible, the noise is low, and the production process is clean and pollution-free. The laser cutting machine truly makes the metal cutting process fast, accurate, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving. Since then, metal processing has entered the era of automation, flexibility, intelligence and efficiency.

What Is the Laser Cutting Process?

What is the process of laser cutting? The laser cutting process is relatively new as it relies on advanced computing power and laser beams to cut into materials. During laser cutting, someone first inputs a design into a computer program. After the design is in the program, the computer will then move the laser over the material you want to cut.

This laser then burns, melts or vaporizes the materials to adjust them to fit your desired shape. The machine will also often use gas to blow away any material left over. At the end of the process, the material will be transformed into a product with the desired shape. Its edge will also have an excellent surface finish.

Like a more traditional milling machine, a precision laser cutter will cut on the x, y and z axes. Laser cutters separate themselves from these older machines by using a high-powered laser instead of a drill to do the cutting.

During the laser cutting process, you can choose either a continuous wave beam or pulsed beam. A pulsed beam will deliver the laser in quick bursts, while a continuous wave beam will keep it running in continuous succession. You can usually control the laser beam's heat output, length and intensity to customize it to the needs of the material you're working with. You can even use a special lens or mirror to focus the laser beam more.

It offers several advantages for manufacturing companies, including the following.

#1) Supports All Materials

Laser cutting supports nearly all types of materials. From aluminum and copper to stainless steel and even titanium, it can easily cut through otherwise strong and hard materials Laser cutting essentially uses a laser to melt the material in a concentrated area. As the laser beam heats up, it will melt the material to which it’s exposed. Because of the laser beam’s high temperature, it can cut through nearly all types of materials, regardless of strength or hardness.

#2) Smooth Edges

Another advantage of laser cutting machine in manufacturing is that it creates smooth edges. Traditional cutting shears, of course, often create jagged edges. When you cut a piece of material with a pair of shears, the edges will have a sharp and jagged surface. Laser cutting doesn’t suffer from this same problem. Since it uses heat, it will melt the material while subsequently creating smooth edges.

#3) Extreme Precision

Laser cutting is very precise. Using it, manufacturing companies can cut through materials to achieve specific dimensions with extreme precision. Some laser cutting machines, in fact, have a dimensional accuracy of roughly 0.0005 inches. That’s far more precise than the dimensional accuracy of traditional cutting methods, such as shears. With its extreme precision, laser cutting is a popular choice among manufacturing companies.

There are different types of laser cutting machines. Some of them use CO2 lasers, whereas others use neodymium (Nd) lasers. Regardless, they can all cut through materials with extreme precision.

#4) Automated

Laser cutting can be automated. It supports Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems. There are CNC laser cutting machines that work in conjunction with a computer program. You can program the cutting process on a computer. The laser cutting machine will then follow those instructions to cut the material according to your specifications.

#5) Energy Efficient

While it still requires energy, laser cutting is considered more energy efficient than many other cutting methods. It allows manufacturing companies to quickly and easily perform cutting processes. Because of the fast speeds at which it operates, laser cutting typically consumes less energy than other cutting processes.
